An exciting form of parish to parish partnership in the Gospel continues in the City of London next Lent. The Bank Churches Lent Course will involve the parishes of St Mary le Bow, St Mary Woolnoth, St Margaret Lothbury, St Vedast-Alias-Foster, St Botolph without Bishopsgate & Mercers' Chapel. The clergy of these churches have come together to develop a course for Lent, to be held in the Crypt of St Mary le Bow. The format is simple: find a stunning and provocative movie; fragment its showing, and discuss it over a number of weeks, making it relevant to Christianity.
Concluding the series will be an informal Tenebrae service in Holy Week on Tuesday 30 March, 6.15pm at St Mary le Bow (Cheapside).
Each session commences at 6.15pm and will last for 45 minutes and will include a guided discussion and will be followed by refreshments. The course is designed as a six week commitment — if you are interested in coming, please contact Alan McCormack at St Botolph’s at rector@botolph.org.uk.
